Our Impact

625,000 people served daily

People Served Every Day by Year

Every center we build serves 500 families or more.

That means thousands of people have affordable, clean water nearby as long as they need it. Our 230 centers have transformed thousands of lives.

We aim to help 1,000,000 people in Indian villages by 2022. We are more than half the way there.

YOUR IMPACT

100% of your contribution goes to building a center.

The center’s operating and maintenance costs are met with the collections from sale of affordable safe water.

VILLAGE FILTRATION CENTERS INSTALLED

Water filtration prevents disease, reduces child mortality, and empowers women.  When individuals thrive, so does the whole village.

PLANTS BUILT FOR SCHOOL SPONSORS

Schools with pure water have higher attendance rates. Through our generous sponsors, we’ve installed on-premise plants for 20 rural schools.

PLANTS MANAGED AT MINORITY SCHOOLS

As part of our commitment to universal safe water, we also manage and maintain plants for schools installed by other organizations.

Centers Built per Year

We can install up to 15 water filtration centers every month with funding.

We sign a renewable 10-year minimum operation and maintenance contract with each center, so they can operate as long as they are needed.

AVAILABLE + ACCESSIBLE WATER

This means improved education economic opportunities for women and girls, who no longer have to travel long distances to get water. These improved opportunities empower the entire village, not just the individual beneficiaries.

PURE WATER PREVENTS DISEASE

Diarrhea kills an estimated 158,000 children in India every year, contributing to malnutrition, stunted growth, and missed schooling & economic opportunities. 1 According to the WHO, by ensuring safe water quality, diarrhea can be reduced by between 28% and 45%, and diseases from chemical contamination such as arsenicosis or fluorosis can be eliminated. 1

SELF-SUSTAINING CENTERS

Each water purification center is maintained with funds collected by the village, enabling the plant to be self-sustaining. A local operator oversees day-to-day operations and our team of engineers provides services, spares, and maintenance.
